Clock Time Practice Activity

The Clock Activity is designed to help children learn to tell time, use hour hands, practice counting, and develop attention, logic, and memory skills.

Print out the game template and cut out all the game pieces. We recommend that you laminate all the pieces. Next, take clothespins and attach number cards so that each clothespin has a pair of matching hour numbers: 1-13, 2-14, 3-15, and so on.

The arrows can be attached to the center of the clock with a pin so you can rotate them. Place the clothespins with the hour numbers on the appropriate places on the clock and explain to your child what all the numbers and hands mean. Then you can play with your child in two ways:

• You can place the hour hands and ask your child to tell you what time it is;
• You can say the time and ask your child to move the hour hands accordingly.
